What I offer is a personal preparedness class, similar to financial planning, but covering a much broader spectrum of your life. From things like how is your mortgage paid-electronically or mailing in a check- to who is your vet-in case you are out of town and something happens. I help you become aware of the things in life that we take for granted everyday, and give you the tool to get those things organized, a backup of your life, just in case.
This book was created in the aftermath of suddenly becoming a widow.
All of the items in the book are issues that I, and everyone helping me, had to deal with in the weeks following my husband's death. When coping with a sudden loss your memory is unable to retain any details, so I kept a notebook, with copious notes on everything. This evolved into a detailed list, and then into the Book.
I realized that this should be a wake up call for everyone I knew, that these details are important in everyone's lives, and not just in times of grief.
What if you are called out of town? On vacation? Evacuated?
Can you honestly say that someone else in your life knows all the details well enough to take care of things without you?
Most of us keep a large amount of important information in our heads, in our phones, or on our laptops. This information needs to be backed up just like your photos and files. The Backup Book is a simple, easy to fill out way to do just that. In my Workshop I go over everything in the Book, why it's important, how I dealt with it in a grief situation, and how to create an everyday awareness of the importance of those details.
Please join me for one of my Workshop sessions, and in less than two hours you can get pointed in the right direction towards a little peace of mind.
